Internationalisation is a central component of UNIC’s strategy. This includes partnerships for degree programmes, student mobility, and opportunities for students post-graduation in academia or industry, in order to share knowledge and capabilities across countries. The first and largest medical programme in Cyprus was formed in collaboration with St George’s, University of London. Today, the Medical School attracts over 500 students from around the world. In Greece, we offer several joint Masters degrees with the top Greek universities: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Patras and the Hellenic Open UniversityThe University of Nicosia is the first private university in Cyprus to be ranked by the main global university ranking organisations.

Prof Philippos Pouyioutas
Coordinator.
He is a Professor of Computer Science and the Rector of the University of Nicosia. He studied at the University of London (BSc Computer Science – Queen Mary College – 1988, MSc Databases and Information Systems – Birkbeck College – 1989, Ph.D. Object-Oriented Databases – Birkbeck College – 1996). He also holds a Certificate in Teaching/Learning in Higher Education from the University of North London (1993). Professor Pouyioutas is an experienced project coordinator.
